Do you think these wedges heels to high for a child 16 years?

I was not thinking about ever takes them with a skirt or shirt, I was thinking with a pair of jeans, casual but nice at times (like a birthday of family members or friends for a barbecue). My mom thinks they are too high, but she never wears heels. The thing is that I dress very modestly.
